Staycation- Day 2

So ready for Day 2 of our Chicago Staycation?  Click here if you missed Day 1.

After the girls got up and we had a little family snuggle time, it was time for some breakfast!  So I went into my stash of food I packed up and got us all some cereal, I know fancy huh?  Here are the girlies enjoying their breakfast.
Afterwards they enjoyed a little Max and Ruby while mommy and daddy got showered up and ready.
Then we headed over to a park just outside their apartment building.  It had water features to play in but unfortunately it was a little too cool.

After finishing up with that park we headed out just for a walk.  We ended up passing another playground that of course the girls wanted to test out. : )

Next we decided to head over to Millennium Park- a big tourist attraction, its a large park that that has a large stage and grassy area for outdoor events, different art sculptures, and is the official site of the "The Cloud," although its affectionately referred to as the bean by Chicagoans-I'm sure the artist is very happy about that.  There's a cool walkway from the apartment that leads right over to the park.

It just so happened that there was a Family Fun Fair going on when we got over there.  Although a little above their level, the girls still enjoyed seeing some crazy bugs and a fun balloon making booth.

Next we headed over to the water feature, sculpture thingy thats over by "the bean" to let the girls run around for a bit.

Then we had a little fun at the bean.  Now normally it is super crowded and there are always a ton of people in your pictures but when we got there it was relatively quiet, so we had fun with pictures!

Can you find us?

Finally after a little more run around time we headed back "home" for lunch and naps.  After nap time we headed to their building's indoor swimming pool and, gasp, forgot our camera.  Then we headed back up, got showered up, made spaghetti for dinner, and snuggled in for a movie night.  Movie chosen by Bella, Sleeping Beauty, or as she calls it, Pink Princess Movie of course!
What a fun-filled free day!  Stayed tuned for Day 3!
