Happy Mother's Day 2013!!

First things first,
I must wish a happy Mother's Day to the two mommies in my life!!
(and of course my awesome grandmas in heaven)
Thankful the hubs' mom brought me a partner for life and thankful to my mom for giving me life and being one of my best friends!
The hubs planned the most perfect Mother's Day ever!
As much as I love my family and spending time with them,
all I really ask for on Mother's Day is to be alone. :)
I know terrible right?
I spend most of every day being needed in some way.  And I am definitely a people person but occasionally I crave a day of not talking to anyone.  And I like to use Mother's Day as this day.  Every now and then the hubs with take a kid or two out for a little bit (and usually just the older girls if he takes 2) but it doesn't happen very often.  He does better staying in with them, so I rarely have a quiet house.  This Mother's Day they let me sleep in and then I received breakfast in bed along with many homemade presents (and also a nice charm bracelet from the hubs).  Then the best part, the hubs took ALL 3 of the kids OUT of the house.  It was SO nice.  The crew left about 10:30.  I sat around, watched a movie (The Impossible- about the Tsunami- SO good), relaxed.  After a while I thought I'd get out (thinking the hubs was going to be back soon- turns out they didn't get back until 4!).  I grabbed lunch, alone.  Sat quietly, didn't have to share or serve anyone else.  Then I leisurely walked around the mall for hours. :)  Did a little shopping for myself.  Went to Babies R Us and drooled over all the baby things I'd love to have.  Then walked around Target and grabbed a couple essentials for the next day's dinner.  I grabbed one of my favorites for dinner, Buffalos, on the way home and get home about 6.  A perfectly lovely day on my own. :)

After dinner the girls were begging me to do something with them.  They said they wanted to do something WITH me on Mother's Day.  Ha.  So we played a board game together before heading up for baths and bedtime.

Couldn't have asked for a nicer Mother's Day.  So thankful for my hubs and the 3 beautiful girls (and one in heaven) that make it possible for me to be called Mommy, a life long dream.

Something else I like on Mother's Day is for the hubs to get some pics of me with my girls.  Since I take most of our day to day pics, I am rarely in them.  I also wanted a few maternity pics before I get too humongous (Blakely will be here in SIX WEEKS. ;)
So here are a couple of my favs that the hubby quickly took.

Birthday for two special people...

SO I took a break on Tuesday from my regular scheduled catch up posts to do a bday post for the hubs and then we've had a totally long week of V, Bells, and Brooklyn being under the weather and I was too beat.  But don't want to get too behind!!
My momma and hubby share a bday- February 5th- so its a very special day for us!  The girls made the hubs about a bazillion cards and pictures for his birthday, they just love their daddy SO much!
Here are some of my more recent favorite pics of the hubs:

 They love their daddy so!

MY FAV!!

Saturday before his bday my daddio happen to be in town and graciously hung out with the girlies so I could take the hubs to his favorite restaurant, Wildfire.  We literally only go once a year on his bday because its so expensive and we didn't even go last year, so it had been a while!
They brought him a little birthday treat after our meal and we couldn't even eat one bite we were so full!

Turns out on his actual birthday our preschool was having a fundraiser night at Culvers and the board was helping serve food with the teachers.  He's on the board but of course they said he didn't have to but we LOVE our school and wanted to help!  So we headed over there for a bit.  Then Ryan, Somer, Jenna, Nick and kiddos came back to our place for the hub's favorite cake, Angel food cake.  Thanks for helping us celebrate!

Happy birthday my love!!

And for mormor, who we missed catching on the phone, we sent a special birthday message!

Mother's Day 2012

I know I said this in the last post, but boy am I thankful to be able to celebrate Mother's Day!!
We had a low key mom's day.
The morning was bombarded with handmade presents that they were SO excited to give me. :)
Went to church and heard a great sermon on how God helps us be great mom's.
With the hurry to get to church in the morning I did not get breakfast in bed.
When I told Bella I didn't have time she burst into tears.
She wanted me to eat breakfast in bed so badly, so precious.
(Hubby was trying SO hard to get them to smile, waving things around and such that my head accidentally got cut off, oops! They look adorable though!)
After church the hub's and Mr. Joe offered to feed the kids while Miss Leah and I got to go have lunch sans kiddos!  It was delightful.
After lunch we went home and put Brooklyn down for nap and just laid low for the afternoon.
The hubs kept the big girls happy so I could just enjoy the afternoon.
Hubster graciously got me Buffalos for dinner and was just a HUGE help with the kiddos and around the house.
That night I relaxed some more, got chocolate ice cream, and a massage by my hubby.
A nice way to spend a day with my family.
(Hubby also offered to take pictures of me with my girlies, which is the best gift ever!  Too bad I'm in the pics, and too bad we didn't get to them until the end of the day when I looked completely exhausted.  Oh well!)

Sniff.....

So we had to say goodbye to Mormor... :(

She came to my rescue with the hubs away for just under a week. But sadly she had to go back home, my dad missed her and stuff. :)

We love you Mormor and are so thankful for you coming and being with us and all the things you help me get done around here!

You must see.....

So before I take a break for the weekend I wanted you to check something out.....so my mom has entered the Etsy World! ( a site where you can purchase fabulous home made things, a lot made by stay at home mommies trying to help out and a some that contribute their profits to great charities) My mom was making bows for my girls to match some dresses she made and she got really into it! And she just can't stop and she's super creative! SO if you're looking for cute homemade bows for a great price for your little beauty or as a fun unique gift, please check her bows out! She's also open to suggestions and ideas and is constantly adding more. PLEASE also feel free to spread the word to others about her site. If there's one you like but would like different colors (or if you'd like to see a sample on a "model" (aka my babies) so you can see how it looks, size, etc.) just let me know!!   So go here now:

I'm going to have to get some more when the girls are actually wearing them, which is almost every day now!
