She's Here!!

I'd like to introduce to you...

Blakely Kadence Domier
Born June 25th 2013 at 12:37pm
6 pounds 8 ounces and 18 inches

But let me back track a little bit.  Two posts ago I mentioned how busy we had been, trying to get in all the last minute fun before our newest addition came and we had to be home bound for a bit.  But before I knew it Tuesday morning (June 25th) had arrived.  I slept ok that night.  It took me forever to fall asleep of course but once I did I slept pretty good until about 7:30.  I woke to the hubs looking at his phone.  I asked what he was doing and he said looking at baby names.  You have no idea how much this tickled me.  In all of our pregnancies baby naming has always excited me WAY more then him.  It was pretty much like pulling teeth to get him to discuss baby names with me.  Brooklyn Blythe's name ended up being confirmed the morning of her birth.  We've had Blakely decided for awhile but we had been on the fence for a middle name.

My front runners were Victoria (female version of the hubs' name Vincent), Morgan (family name on my dad's side) and Vienna (which is where I was born).  Brooklyn's middle name is Blythe and it's only because we couldn't decide on her first name and the hub's really loved Blythe so we made it her middle name.  I've always been a little sad that it has no family significance like her big sisters.  We had also intended to do K for the middle name so their initials would be the same.  But like I said she was named on the way to the hospital and we had to compromise! :)

So that morning after discussing the names he found we finally narrowed it down to 3 names.  Victoria (like I mentioned), Harper (which had no significance but he had mentioned it and I just loved how it sounded with Blakely) and lastly Kadence (which he did find with a K not a C).  So we spent the whole morning saying all 3 out loud and writing them down just to see which we liked the feel of more.  Even after she was born they had to hound us for the birth certificate information because we were still on the fence.  Finally we had narrowed it down to Harper and Kadence.  The hub's really loved Kadence, it had the K we wanted, and it means pattern or rhythm which he thought she carried on by being a girl. :)  She also was born with super long fingers so maybe she'll be musical. :)  And when we looked up that Harper just meant a harp player we decided to go with the one with more meaning.  So she wasn't officially named until she was about 6 or 7 hours old.

I still really love Blakely Harper and actually just asked him again if he was sure about Kadence before I typed this post. ;)  I do love Blakely Kadence too and it fits her just perfectly!

So that is the history behind her name.
Tomorrow her birth story!

And then there were four....

This last month has been an overwhelming, scary, joyous, sweet, and absolutely treasured time.
Just over a month ago we welcomed our fourth baby girl.
Yes I said fourth baby.
And yes I said fourth baby GIRL.

In case you can't tell the comments I get about having 4 girls really drives me crazy.
Oh wow you're brave...
Just wait till high school...
That's going to be expensive...
Going to try for that boy...
You name it, I've heard it.

But you know what?  I love my girls.  Yes I would have loved to give my husband a son but he is an perfect daddy to girls.  Funny enough just yesterday 101.9 radio station mentioned a study that was done recently that said men who have daughters are much better men.  They're more caring, generous, etc.  And I have to say that's true for the hubs.  I know we will have some high levels of drama in our future but I also look forward to all the good times too.  The girl's nights where we can stay up painting our nails, watching chick flicks, and talking boys (and I'm hoping this is the WAY distant future ;) ).  I definitely view the raising of four daughters as God's mission for my life.  Right now this is my ministry, this is where I choose to be serving whole heartily.  I feel overwhelming pressure to raise Godly women but I'm up for the challenge with God in my corner (and a great hubby by my side)!

Anyway, just thought I'd pop on here and mention that baby girl has arrived and is a complete treasure that has definitely completed our family!!

LOTS of pictures to come! :)

Getting in last minute fun!!

Sorry its late and I want to get one last post before the big day tomorrow.  We've spent the last week or two filling it with fun summer activities I wanted to get in before Blakely arrives.

These were a couple more from Father's Day.  After I took the pic of the hubs and the girls Brooklyn insisted on taking one and here's what she took. :)
We also got daddy his very own Cold Stone ice cream cake, yum!
Hit a yummy restaurant on the lake with friends
Ended dinner with a dance party. :)
Our Bellsie finished up her soccer season

We finally had a hot enough day for Great America's water park.
Lets just say a lot of fun was had, didn't even make it out of the park....
And transferred right to the car seat.
Hit a children's concert of one of the girls' favorite singers, Jim Gill.  His concert did not disappoint!

Also enjoyed our little town's farmer's market....

And Tastee Freeze of course!

Hit our dear friends, the Levin's, pool!

Out to lunch with my girls.

Got registered at the library's reading program.  They had older students available to read to little ones.
Hit the spray park too with friends!
Got a quick dip in before this came in!
Got to our cars just in time.

Took Brooklyn to her first movie in a theater and saw Monsters University.
Hit one of our besties birthday pool party on Saturday.
Snow cones!
Cupcakes!
Diet coke and mentos experiment.

Last church visit with only 3 beauties in tow!

And enjoyed seeing dear friends get baptized.
The heat and weekend activities caught up with Bells during the baptism.
Looking precious, had to get sweet pics.

Mom came in Friday night and helped me get last minute projects done.  Erasing Brooklyn's name from the nursery. :(

Had a family movie night, Wreck it Ralph is still their fav right now!
So this morning (Monday the 24th) I heard Brooke calling to be wiped, went to the bathroom to find her, and that's not where she was. :)
Took the girls to get pampered before becoming big sisters!  They were all so excited about it. :)

Especially this one. :)
Bella actually chose a dark blue with sparkles, hard to tell in this pic.
Brynn wanted a pattern.

And Brooke said, "PINK!"

Celebratory lunch at Noodles.
And then we had a friend's bowling party this afternoon.

I seriously haven't had a moment to really think and let tomorrow sink in.  But now that I'm sitting here and thinking about it I'm definitely getting nervous.  The sad thing is I am most nervous about nursing.  I have had 3 month of torture with all 3 of the girls and just praying it goes better this time.  I'm also really nervous about Brooklyn.  Like I said she has been a handful lately so just praying all goes well with her transition and we can best handle her and her needs.   Feeling sad I won't enjoy pregnancy ever again but also feeling SO uncomfortable that I just want my body back.  And it is sad that I'm so looking forward to heading to the hospital to get a break from my 2 year old?  Okay there is a lot of good with the hard but definitely looking forward to a mini vaca (sort of).  Please keep my mom in your prayers too who is solo until Thursday with them!!

Not sure when I'll be back on but I'll definitely try to get a pic up of Miss Blakely as soon as I can!! :)
