The Best and The Worst....

I've have had one of the best, and worst weekends of my life.

This will be brief but I wanted to put some thoughts down and just let you know that, yes, I am still alive.

A week or two ago we decided to head up to Minnesota to visit my grandparents, while my dad was in town helping out with them. So Friday morning we made our way up north. And this morning my grandmother passed away.

Obviously there is SO much more that needs to be filled in, and I will in time when I can, but for now I just covet your prayers. I loved all my grandparents dearly but was especially close to my dad's parents since they lived close by most of our growing up years.

We knew it was only a matter of time because grandma's health had been failing but I think what's killing me the most is seeing how broken hearted my grandpa is.

But let me tell you why it was the best. What an awesome, awesome blessing that we happened to be here this weekend and that grandma spent her last remaining days surrounded by some family and being entertained by her precious great-grand daughters.

Oh, God is just so...... what? I don't know how to express it but he couldn't have orchestrated this weekend better.

Timing not great, with the funeral happening on the weekend I was going to be having a surprise 30th birthday celebration planned by my wonderful hubby, but grandma needed to go. It was her time. Now she's healthy, happy, and in the arms of Jesus Christ. And her great-grand daughters got to hug her, play with her , and see her smiling and admiring them while they acted like hooligans all around her. : )

The girls and I have decided to stay the week to keep Papa Bear company. Please keep him in your prayers.

*Thanks so much for the calls, tweets, emails, and facebook messages. I probably won't answer at this time since its a little fresh and hard to talk about, but I appreciate and am thankful for each and everyone!*

Oh memories....

So I put this outfit on Brynn today...
and memories came flooding back. This was the exact outfit Bella was wearing the day Brynn was born (day after Valentine's Day) and she met her new baby sister for the first time.

Here they both are with their proud grandparents!

And here they are today!

Isabella Kathryn...

No, I didn't forget.
My beautiful first born. : )

She's such a little model, she comes up with these things on her own! : )

(For those that ask I do most of my editing right in iphoto but when I'm feeling extra ambitious I also use Photoshop Elements. Also I got the girls' name shirts from my wonderful, talented mom for Christmas. Someone did similar ones on Etsy and I knew she could too!)

Begging for a snowman.....

All winter Bella has been begging to build a snowman. The only problem, after every snow fall we've had, the temperatures always seemed to plummet and we just can't be outside that long. I tried to go out with her once myself since it had finally made it to the upper 20s but then it was terrible packing snow. So a week or two ago Bella begged once again and we said lets do it!! We were going to make it happen no matter what. Now like mother, like daughter Brynn couldn't stand to be out for more than 5 minutes but she did enjoy the decorating of the snowmen. Bella was very insistent on a carrot nose. : ) Here are the pics from our fun day:

(sadly our Vikings snowman did not bring them luck : ()
Kiss for the snowman

Bye snowman, I've had enough out here!

Not sure why, but I just love this picture (yes the hubs is out in his jammies). This little lady is definitely smitten with her daddy!

Little Bean Update....

So today I had a doctor's appointment. Thanks to many of you for praying and asking how things went!! Although I had some nerves still since I have this cyst that is apparently growing instead of shrinking, I was pretty confident that things are going quite well since this little bean is making me completely exhausted and quite sick!
So got weighed, blood pressure checked, and all that fun stuff. The doctor came in and I asked more about the cyst. She is fairly confident that it will go away. She said around 10 to 11 weeks (which is where I am) your progesterone really picks up and will shrink it. I asked what happens if it doesn't go away and she said as long as baby continues to do well they won't worry about it. So that's what I'm going to try to do, just praying on the 16th when I have my next ultrasound, we'll hear that the cyst has shrunk and I won't have to worry about it anymore!
So next was suppose to be the fun part, time to hear the baby's heartbeat! But apparently my vessels with excellent blood flow to the baby were too loud to hear the baby over so I got rushed downstairs for an ultrasound. Talk about panic, with two little ones in tow. Anyway long story short baby is fine and has a strong heartbeat. We even got to see the Little Bean's little stumps, that are currently its hands and legs, kick!
So after a little drama, which seems to be this little one's trademark, all is well!

Again I have more pic of the little bean but we're off to gymnastics so I'll have to post them later!
