Little Bean Update

So February 23, smack in between her sister's 3rd and 5th birthday, this Little Bean turned 6 months old. Here are her other month updates: 1 month, 2 month, 3 month, 4 month, and 5 month.
As I type this (March 23) Brooklyn actually turned 7 months today, but I'll share today's fun pics tomorrow, still catching up! :)

This seems like ages ago and I'm trying to rack my brain with what she was doing differently from 5 months but not counting what she's doing now at 7 months....
Brooklyn is
15 pounds and 24 inches
She is still the sweetest, content, smiliest baby I have ever known.
She goes with the flow, patiently waits while I wrangle her sisters, and doesn't mind their antics!
By 6 months her schedule was like this:

8- wake up and nurse
9- cereal with fruit (half a jar)
10-12- nap
12- cereal with veggie (half a jar)
1:30- nurse
2-4- nap and nurse at 4
5- cereal with veggie and fruit (half a jar each)
6-6:30- nap
8-8:30- nurse and bedtime

She isn't technically waking at night anymore. I usually get up to use the bathroom at some point and I just sneak in and put her paci back in and then she doesn't make a peep! Its so great to get through the night, (pretty much) now just to get her to learn how to get her own paci. :)

She's grabbing things all the time and bringing them to her mouth.

She has flopped to her back from her stomach twice but is over it. She won't do it anymore. Still hates tummy time though but I keep trying!
But to be honest I'm not in any hurry for her to get mobile! :)
She's going through a little spell where she hates the bath again. Not sure what the deal is but we just keep trying and make them quick. :)

Love you baby girl, couldn't imagine our family with out you!

Christmas, really? Yep!

I'm so far behind, I'm a little overwhelmed about where to start!
Please bare with me as I go back and get caught up.
Since this is my way of keeping a record for our family, I don't want a 3 month gap in the details. :)

Here is a quick picture review of our Christmas trip to Colorado:

The girls did AMAZING on the drive out to Colorado, not a peep out of all three. Well, there were peeps, but only happy ones. :)
We spent our first 2 days in Fort Collins where my bro and SIL live. They have a cutest downtown. We were walking around looking at shops and Brynnie wanted to be carried. I had the carrier for Brooke and thought what the heck since Brynn was too heavy to carry. She thought it was great! :)
The girls had an awesome Christmas. The just love ripping open the gifts, almost as much as getting what's inside. Brynn also enjoyed opening Brooke's.
My other bro could not join us in person, so he joined us via Skype. We missed him!

One afternoon, when we thought Miss Brynn was napping in my parents room, we came in to find her like this. Someone had found my mom's make up. She was very remorseful. :)
Had such a wonderful Christmas with my fam.
The girls playing their new favorite game, Zingo, with Uncle Conor.

We of course hit the YMCA a couple of times during our visit.
Brooke tried it out but wasn't crazy about it. :)
One night we had dinner at a restaurant in an actual airplane. The girls LOVED it.
Another day, grandma took us to a Chuck E. Cheese type place that also had bouncies. Again they had a great time.
Us ladies got out and enjoyed a hike one morning.
Crazy it was December and we didn't need to be all bundled up. It was a beautiful hike.
Despite some steep points, the girls did an awesome job and the end was worth the work!
We rewarded the girls with some play time, at the park near the bottom, when we were all done.

One evening we hung out with an old friend of mine and her daughter, Celeste. It was so great to see them.
Brooke turned 4 months while we were there so I thought Mormor could do the honors of feeding her her first bites of solid food. She took to it right away!

Our last morning there we had breakfast at this adorable restaurant downtown Monument. It was delicious!
We had a wonderful Christmas with you Mormor, Poppi, Uncle Conor and Auntie Bonnie!
Again the girls did awesome on the way home. The last hour Brooke had had it so I went in back and just held her and she was fine. (shhh, don't tell)
After surviving a drive from Chicago to Colorado Springs, it made us realize we could probably travel more as a family but travel a little less expensively by driving!

Felt so good!

Oh my goodness did it feel good to FINALLY post something yesterday!!

I have missed my bloggy community and friends. I can't believe March is almost over and I have only posted once this month. Sad, sad, sad.

As you may or may not know February is Birthday month for our family. Four out of five of us have our birthdays all literally 10 days apart. So starting February 19th though just this last Sunday we have had family in town with us. And the few days we didn't have family I spent my time catching up on 3 WEEKS of laundry, going to an AWESOME mommy conference, and you know paying bills and other important things like that. So my favorite hobby was put on the back burner.
But I'm back!

I'm playing catch up on all of your lives right now and I plan to update you on ours slowly but surely! :)

But tonight I leave you with the most, precious baby EVER!
Could you not just eat her up!?

In Real Life.....

Every so often we get the opportunity to take a family picture.
It doesn't happen very often,
since the hubs or I generally are the ones manning the camera.
But every now and then, an event or family in town pulls us from behind the camera.
Or they aren't smiling.......

Or has a weird look on their face......

Or it just looks stiff and posed.

So the other day all 5 of us happen to be sitting on the couch doin' our thang and it hit me.
I told the hubs, this would make a great family picture.
It totally represented our family. Each family member was totally themselves,
doing what they do.
I told the hubs to set the camera up on a timer and capture it.
It is now my favorite family photo. :)

Uh, I just love it. :)
Doing what we do.
Brynnie reading her book, me playing with cookie, daddy fooling around on his precious iPad, and Bells cuddled up her daddy watching him.

My favorite part?
It was a captured moment. (sort of)
No posing the girls properly, worrying about if they were looking, trying to get each of them to smile.
Just us, doing what we do.
Love, love, love. :)

It can't be possible...

I know I've been a terrible blogger, but with this being our crazy birthday month and all our family in town there is little time for me to pop on here!

But I had to make time today.

Today (well technically yesterday since its after midnight) was my precious firstborn's birthday.
5 years ago today (yesterday) at 3:14pm the Lord blessed us with our first baby girl a month early!
Although she had a dramatic entrance she was perfectly healthy and as beautiful as ever.
There's so much to say but not tonight.
Up late preparing for the big double party tomorrow.
I love you Bella bean and you'll always be my baby girl. :)

Birthday Month!!

So I've got some catching up to do!!

If you're new to our blog, something fun about our family, is all of our birthday's (except for our newest addition) are literally 10 days apart!
The Hub's: February 5th (as well as my mom)
Brynn- 15th
Bella- 25th
And me- March 7th
My grandma's was the 1st and my SIL's is the 22nd.
So we are on birthday overload here!

Here are some pics from the Hub's day:
I had a sweet little helper helping me get daddy's cake ready, while he and big sis played in the snow. :)

I think she just did it to lick the beaters. :)

For some reason our creation sunk when all was said and done. I don't seem to have very good luck with baking these days. It wasn't pretty but it still tasted good! :)

Man the hubs is old. Half way to 40. Yikes. Just kidding love!

I had secretly arranged child care (for the older girls) and wanted to get some close friends together for dinner at his favorite place, Wildfire. Unfortunately, most couldn't make it. But one of our closest couple friends graciously were able to join us and it was just perfect!

Thanks Chevriers for celebrating my man with me!
And thank you Kissingers for watching the big girls!
Afterwards, we came home, sang, and ate a 'beautiful' cake with daddy!

Happy Birthday love of my life!
