And the winner is....

Phew! Still got some catching up to do.  I must FINALLY announce the winner of my very first contest!  They were of course all great but the Hub's picked the following caption for this picture:

Hey Miley, why aren't you smiley?

Entered by Somer
(We gave Brynn the nickname Miley since she is (usually) the smiliest baby ever!)

The other captions were great too so I must mention them!  Hopefully I can get even more entries next time! : )  Here are the other great captions:

Mommy: get a cute pic of you being serious, of course! Oh, and then maybe I can have a "name that photo contest"!! yep, here goes:)

Our Trip-Day One Day Two...

Our trip to Minnesota.  Day 1. : )  Well actually Day 2.  First the technical, Day one, we arrived by dinner time Friday evening, had dinner, got the kiddos to bed early after sleeping maybe 30 minutes during our car ride up, and then the hubs and I made a quick, late night trip to the local mall so he could get the new iphone he's been dying to get.  The plus for me?  I got his old one, yea!  I didn't take any pictures during our drive up or that evening, sorry.  Oh no wait!  I lied.  Our one piece of excitement on the drive up was we got a chance to see the Wiener Mobile.  I know thrilling, huh?! I just had my point and shoot and we had such beautiful crummy weather for our road trip, so its not the greatest pic.  This was taken looking into my side-view mirror, creative huh? : )

So on to day 2.  Saturday morning.  The girls got us up at an ungodly hour crack of dawn (6:15) since they were in a room together and Brynn tends to not sleep well when she doesn't get a good nap.  So after an early start we decided we needed to hit a pool somewhere.  Luckily my aunt had a membership to a really nice club with an outdoor pool with fun slides, and was able to get us all in free.  Unfortunately they would not let Bella do the slides but the girls had fun splashing around with their mormor, poppi, and Auntie Lina (again they were taken with my point and shoot (for some reason the Hubs didn't want his nice camera at the pool) and a lot of them came out blurry : ( )!

My happy little waterbug!
Bella playing with her poppi and Great Auntie Lina.

Who knew a life jacket could be so much fun (trying not to think of what she's getting in her mouth!)?

Two very tired girlies!
After a nice, long swim we headed home for much needed naps.  In an effort to get a good nap in we were trying to keep Brynnie up until we got home (and they hadn't had lunch yet), but after being up so early and an exhausting swim there was no hope.  At one point the Hubs was hitting her in the face with her blankie and she wasn't even flinching.  Once we got home, I even changed her diaper without waking her.  She was one tired little girl.  And there was my sleep angel 3 year old begging to go to sleep for her nap (we were insisting she get lunch in first)!   While the girls napped my mom and I headed out to see The Proposal.  It was very cute.  I'm not sure what the actor's name in that is but I think he is HILARIOUS and seriously underrated.  I'm predicting here that he will be big one day!  You heard it here first folks.  Some day I'll tell you my story how I discovered Jewel and Josh Groban.  Anyway, I digress.  So after the movie we headed home to get dinner going. We ate as a family, enjoyed watching the girls during bath time, put the girls to bed, and enjoyed a documentary on U.S presidents with Papa Bear!

Tomorrow I shall share our crazy fun, family-packed Day 3!

Happy Belated Father's Day!

Wow! Two posts in one day, I know!SO I have some MAJOR catching up to do, so prepare for post overload!  Since we were away this weekend I was not able to post a Father's Day tribute.  So although I'm a little late here goes!

This Father's Day I was able to spend it with 3 out of 4 of the special men in my life!

First the monarch of the family.  My Grandpa Glass.  This man, husband for over 60 years to one, father of four, grandfather of 11, and Papa Bear to two baby girls.  My grandpa has managed to raise four God fearing children in a fallen world that are now raising 11 of their own God fearing children.  He is such a inspiring man.  I was thankful to have him say a blessing for us on our wedding day!

Then there's my daddy!  I don't usually get to see him on Father's Day so it was a true treat.  Just one of the things I've always loved about my dad is how he always has words of praise for me.  A day never went by that I didn't know my dad loved me and was proud of me!  The girls made their Poppi and special surprise for Father's Day:

They were so excited to show off their present!
And last, but certainly not least, is the daddy of my girls!  The hubs is such a wonderful father and husband.  Although I know he one day hopes to have a son, he is such a GREAT daddy to girls.  He's protective, sensitive, sweet, and loving (in the most macho way of course).  His girls are is world, all three of them!

Sadly, we were not able to spend Father's Day with the fourth man in my life, the Hub's dad.  Unfortunately they were at home in sunny California, but he was greatly missed!

Father's Day was our crazy busy day on our MN trip this last weekend, so stay tuned for more stories and lots more pictures! : )

Wordless Wednesday

(No worries!  I shall be back to posting once I've caught up with life!)

Today is the day...

So we've told Bella that we will be going to visit Mormor and Poppi Glass up at Papa Bear(her name not ours) and GG's house in Plynouth, MN.  Ever since we've mentioned this she has asked us just about every hour (or less) if we are going now.  No, honey Friday morning.  No, honey 2 more days, No honey tomorrow.  She is SO disappointed when she hears we aren't leaving right then.  Well sweet baby girl, today is the day.  We are on our way up to the Twin Cities!  We will return late Monday so everyone have a great weekend!

Here we come Papa Bear and GG!
