Wife Duties Called...

So 3 posts in and I'm already slacking on blog duties!  I wanted to post each day but the hubby needed a little attention last night (we watched some stupid fight movie until midnight last night-oh the things you'll do for the ones you love!) and in case you don't know one of my New Year's Resolutions was to put more attention into our marriage.  After being a stay at home mother of two youngsters all day it doesn't always leave you with the most energy, patience, compassion, best attitude, or a whole lot of love for your dear hubby.  So I wanted to strive to be better at, well, all of those things.  So when it came to wanting to write my post for the day I just felt Vinny needed to hear from me more than my faithful, although few, followers!  So after all that I did not post but I wanted to jump on quick this morning and leave you with one of the most beautiful posts I've read on one of favorite blogs.  Angie, is the funniest, most eloquently spoken, most compassionate person I have ever met (well, wish I have met).  So sorry to slack but you won't be disappointed after reading this.  I'll try again tonight to work on the post I started last night! : )  What I will do is leave you with a precious picture of my babies!

My 1st "Not Me Monday"

Yea, I'm so excited to participate in this fun tradition started by MckMama called "Not Me Monday"(if you click on her name you can see what she posted this week as well as all the others linked to her site!).  Its a way for moms to express some of the things that didn't go quite as planned for them this week.  Just mention the things that you DID NOT (but of course did) do.  Its a nice way for other moms to read that you're aren't perfect and there are other moms out there that do the same silly things they do!  So here are mine for this week:

I most certainly did NOT make Bella got underwear-less under her pants because I have run out of clean under garments for her.

I of course did NOT nearly have a panic attach when I left home with out my cell phone today because clearly I can survive without it.  How did we get along without them folks?

I would NEVER dream of ignoring my precious baby at 7am until she went back to sleep and then finally getting my lazy butt up after 8:15 to get her up.

And lastly I DIDN'T threaten to pop Bella's princess balloon (that she carries with her everywhere, home and out and about) because I was just so tired of hearing her whine about it getting deflated as we'd go out into the cold.  I would definitely NOT be proud of this moment of I had done that, but of course I didn't.

Now you try!

To Blog or not to Blog that is the question.....

So I have been a bit hesitant to create a blog for a number of reasons.  First of all I am NOT a writer.  I've recently become seriously addicted to blogs like Angie's, MckMama's, and several others and they're all so eloquently written.  I feel a bit inferior.  Another reason, however silly this sounds, I have been a little scared.  Since entering the blog world the Lord has opened my eyes to all the hurt, hardships, and need for prayers that are out there and I felt that maybe if I started a blog perhaps I would join that unfortunate club.
Now, my reasons for wanting to start a blog far out weigh my silly worries.  I have a site where I keep my childrens' updated milestones and pictures but I thought it would be fun to share my day to day triumphs, challenges, silly stories, and things I've learned from being a mother of two young children.  Also since learning the enormous need for prayer, I desperately wanted to help in some way.  Since it is not possible to go to each and everyone and pray with them, bring them a meal, etc.  I wanted to start a blog where I can put the word out there that prayer is needed!  I wish I could do more.....  Another reason I thought a blog would be fun is my husband is amazing at photography and since watching his talents, and MckMama's, it has gotten me really intrigued and interested in photography myself,  so I thought it would fun to post pictures I am especially proud of in addition to the ones on the girl's photo site.  Lastly, in writing this blog I hope to learn from you guys out there and maybe in the process be able to help other new moms!  So in the end, yes to writing the blog wins so here I am!  Yes, there will be grammatical errors, there will be run-on sentences, and there will most certainly be spelling mistakes (I flunked 5th grade spelling and never recovered!).  So please be patient with me and join me on this exciting bloggy adventure!
